Job Description: 

The Department of Computing and Mathematical Sciences invites application for a full time position at the rank of instructor for AY 2024-2025. The department offers Certificate in Cyber Security, AAS and BS in Information Technology (IT), BS in Computer Science (CS) and BA In Mathematics. The teaching load for this position will be 24 undergraduate hours per academic year of CS, IT, MIS, and Cybersecurity courses. The position requires expertise to:

·  Teach a diverse student body in daytime and evening classes on the main campus.

·  Participate actively in community outreach, curriculum planning and development to meet community needs, assessment, syllabus writing, development of examinations, and selection of learning materials.

·  Teach in various modalities, such as Traditional, Hybrid, FLEX, and Online.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have Masters degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Demonstrated experience teaching at the college level.

·  Demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching to 1st generation and non-traditional students.

·  Experience advising college-level students.

·  Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

·  Ability to work collegially in a team environment.

Load:

·  Teach 24 credit hours per academic year.

Responsibilities:

·  Participate in department, university and general faculty meetings as defined in the university faculty handbook.

·  Participate in department and program level learning assessment. Participation includes helping articulate learning outcomes, choosing and administering measures, collecting and submitting relevant data, evaluating student performance, and suggesting changes to improve student learning.

·  Participate actively in curriculum planning, syllabus writing, examination development, textbook selection, program evaluation/revision, and assessment.

·  Maintain an active program of personal professional development related to the position responsibilities.

·  Regular attendance on campus is required for this position.

·  Participate in college professional development activities.

·  Participate in college professional development activities.

·  Participate in other duties as assigned.

Budgeted Salary:

$52,000.00
