RESPONSIBILITIES:  

The Department of Psychology seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate and master’s level courses in face-to-face, flex (Zoom), hybrid, and online formats including at least one section of General Psychology each year, and courses in Human Development and Research Methods. The position requires scholarship and service in addition to excellent teaching for retention, promotion, and tenure.  (Scholarship is not required for the Instructor position).
Each faculty member teaches 12 hours per semester.  Availability August 2024.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Candidates with master's degree in Psychology or a related field and experience teaching psychology courses at the college level.  Note that applicants without a Ph.D. will begin at the Instructor level if the doctoral degree is not places on transcript prior to August 2024

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given candidates who possess a Ph.D. in Psychology with expertise in the areas of Developmental Psychology or Experimental Psychology and have demonstrated excellence in teaching General Psychology, Human Development, or Research Methods courses at the college level. Note that applicants will begin at the Instructor level if the doctoral degree is not placed on transcript prior to August 2024.

SALARY RANGE: 

Commensurate with experience.
