Supported Employment Clinical Manger/Director

Full-Time/Regular

  • Conducts/provides ongoing work-based vocational assessments, job development, job coaching, development of natural supports, and time unlimited follow-along supports for each consumer;
  • Carry out and ensure that all phases of supported employment services including, Intake, Vocational Assessment, Individualized Work Plan development, Job Club, Benefits Counseling, Treatment Team Coordination, Job Development, Job Coaching, Job Assistance, and Follow-along Supports are provided in accordance with the consumers treatment plan.
  • Conduct outreach to job sites
  • Conducts and schedules intake meetings
  • Provides weekly supervision to Employment Specialist
  • Oversees and completes Vocational Assessments
  • Conducts intake assessments and Diagnostic Assessments as needed.
  • Ensures that each consumer’s IRP/IPC includes needs and progress toward achievement of Supported Employment.
  • Ensures that IRP/IPC is reviewed and updated in accordance with the DMH requirement.
  • Plans and conducts structured activities focusing on the consumer’s strengths and IRP/IPC goals across his/her life domains with the consumer’s participation.
  • Assists the consumer in developing mental health relapse prevention strategies and plans.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness and progress of the activities and interventions and consumer satisfaction. Adjusts / changes activities based on the evaluation and with the consumer’s participation.
  • Provides crisis intervention and counseling to consumers as necessary.
  • Completes and submits notes/billing weekly
  • Documents all billable activities/meets productivity
  • Provides Supported Employment Services in accordance with established Best Practice, DBH and VOAC procedures.
  • Provides Clinical Coverage to the Core Service Agency as required.

Required Skills

Required to be a Qualified Practitioner, a Psychiatrist; Psychologist; LICSW; APRN; RN; LPC; LISW; or Addiction counselor in the District of Columbia.  Additionally, successful candidates must have at least three years experience working with adults with serious mental illness providing cognitive-behavioral interventions, diagnostic, psychiatric, counseling/psychotherapy or rehabilitation services AND two years experience providing supervision.  Experience working in a community based and multi-cultural setting with consumers and knowledge of public mental health services is preferred.


Required Experience
