We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineer / Designer to join our team in a dynamic role that blends strong technical expertise with excellent customer-facing skills. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced sales professionals to develop custom system designs for integrated audiovisual, videoconferencing, and broadcast environments. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate client needs into practical, effective, and scalable technical solutions, while balancing performance, reliability, user experience, and project requirements.

This position requires a strong communicator who is comfortable interfacing directly with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and internal TWG team members throughout the design and pre-sales process. You will play a key role in helping ensure that proposed systems are thoughtfully designed, clearly documented, and aligned with both customer expectations and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with sales and internal stakeholders to design integrated AV, videoconferencing, and broadcast system solutions
• Develop system concepts, layouts, and supporting technical documentation for client proposals and project execution
• Interpret customer needs and project requirements to recommend appropriate technologies and system architectures
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors during planning and design phases
• Support the preparation of drawings, scopes of work, equipment recommendations, and related design deliverables
• Help ensure that system designs meet performance expectations, budget requirements, and project timelines
• Participate in design review meetings and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain awareness of current technologies, industry standards, and best practices in integrated systems design
• Provide clear and professional communication to both technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering and designing integrated audiovisual, videoconferencing, and/or broadcast systems
• Strong technical knowledge of system design principles, signal flow, equipment integration, and overall solution architecture
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and work effectively with clients and project partners
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in client-facing situations and supporting high-visibility projects
• Willingness to travel as needed for meetings, site visits, and project-related activities

Required Skills

- Bachelors degree
- 10 years experience in the audiovisual/broadcast field
- 5 years experience in engineering/design
- Past project management and CAD experience
- Proven track record for providing turnkey solutions
- Crestron/AMX background required
- ICIA CTS-D certification
Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project)
