JOB SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision performs a variety of basic tasks related to ensuring timely and accurate medical billing and reconciliation of discrepancies in accordance with Concentra and Central Billing Office practices, policies, and procedures.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answers phone and directs calls and/or answers questions
Assists clients with special billing requests
Performs basic clerical duties including sorting, filing, and mailing bills to workers compensation, insurance carriers, labs, third party administrators, & employers
Processes the Central Business Office rebills following strategic rebill guidelines
Inputs data and billing information into billing system, accurately and timely
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Experience
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
High school diploma or equivalent
JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 6-12 months experience in medical billing
DEMONSTRATED JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
General office experience
Proficient computer skills
Proficiency typing 30 words per minute
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Good organizational skills
Problem solving skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks
