USPS Tester III

Evaluates and resolves quality program related issues with USPS equipment suppliers and personnel. Performs inspections and acceptance testing of electro-mechanical or electronic equipment or systems. Evaluates equipment performance and workmanship and calculate/report test results. Requires a degree in engineering or an ASQ certification such as CQA, CQM, CQE, CRE, SSBB or ISO 9001 Lead Assessor with minimum 5 years of relevant quality experience and 7 years testing USPS mail processing equipment and/or automation systems. USPS testing experience can replace up to two year of quality experience requirement. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
