•Employment law consultant to logistics directors and general managers
•Creator of talent profiles for employee measurement/talent pipeline
•Training and development of management for merit review/performance appraisals
•Union avoidance training and education for logistics and distribution management
•Compliance with state and federal laws/regulations
•Employee relations/business partner
•HR consultant to all levels of management
•Implementation of best practice and HR initiatives for maximum effectiveness
•Draft/review/implement corrective action plans, performance improvement plans, terminations and reductions-in-force (layoffs)
•Union avoidance training and initiatives
•Analyze/assess staffing needs of locations; pro-active to business needs
•Training and development responsibility for Northeast area management
•Contract (CBA) maintenance, interpretation and grievance resolutions
•Union negotiations/HR subject matter expert
•Ensure compliance with EEO, ADA and other federal and state regulatory laws and policies
•Performance/talent management and succession planning
