Perform analysis and technical staff work on proposed facilities acquisition and management projects and programs. The Real Estate Specialist will conduct facility site location surveys, to identify potential property leases, rentals and appraisals of land and property and will participate in negotiations for the acquisition of both leased and owned facilities. Real Estate Specialists will provide information relative to facility acquisition and management; conduct studies of current facilities to assess need to remodel, expand, and/or acquire alternate facilities; conduct surveys and provide analysis of assigned space within current facilities, the availability of potential site locations for analysis of alternatives based on logistical use and support issues, real estate appraised value, municipal cooperation and customer support area; negotiate with and provide liaison with property owner, contractors, financial agencies, industry and local officials and provide recommendations on proposals for real estate appraisals and related estate developmental documentation; prepares bidder packages for solicitation of leasing agreements, conducts negotiations relative to proposals, reviews and submits recommendations; coordinates with architects and engineers on site utilization plans, building styles and related requirements; performs historical analysis and surveys to prepare facilities documentation; collects and analyzes cost data, monitors taxes and assessed values of leased facilities and prepares appeals.
