Industrial Engineer-Philadelphia, PA

Industrial Engineer needed for well-respected manufacturing company in the Philadelphia area.  Focus will be on plant layout and work flow cost reduction activities.  Looking for experienced, hands-on engineers with design skills and a heavy background in manufacturing operations. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Improve equipment and processes through new design and capital improvements.

• Create plant and equipment layouts.

• Tank, piping, equipment and machine component design.

• Manage outside contractors.

• Support internal maintenance and production personnel.

• Supports a 24 hour per day manufacturing operation.

• Support safety programs

• Possess strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills. 

• Solid PC skills, with a focus on MS Office.

• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a complex operating environment.

• Work in a unionized environment.

• Minimum of 8 years experience in a heavy, high speed, industrial manufacturing plant environment.

• Proven track record in the core functions of engineering.

• Equipment retro-fit and installation experience.

• Knowledge of general machine shop practices

• Knowledge of welded assemblies.

• Strong mechanical and plant design experience.

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2003 or higher
