Job Description: Student Front Office works under the general administration and supervision of the Department

Manager: Reports to Department Manager

Period of Agreement: Summer, Fall, 2027 School year

Based at: Student Wellness Services, La Sierra University, Riverside, CA

Hours: 10-20 hours

 

1. Routine office tasks.

2. Answering phone calls.

3. Scheduling appointments, filing and maintaining patient records.

4. Preparation of patient charts in the Electronic Medical Record (Point & Click).

5. Must have updated computer knowledge and ability to work with Banner, Microsoft Office

products.

6. Assisting with maintenance and cleanliness of the work area and lobby areas.

7. Assisting with registration clearance.

8. Participate in Student Orientations, program planning, and other tasks as assigned by senior

office staff and/or providers.

9. Assisting Medical Assistant in monitoring and restocking over-the-counter medicines and

medical supplies

10. Assisting Medical Assistant with the packaging of over-the-counter medications.

11. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Education: Must currently be a student at La Sierra University.

Experience: Previous office work experience. Students with a background in business

healthcare management preferred. CPR and First Aid certified

Availability: Availability must include both mornings and afternoons, with a minimum of 12 hours per week from Monday through Friday. This position will also continue through the summer and the new school year. 

Skills: Good interpersonal relationship skills and collaborative attitude is a must. Also, must be

able to work independently, and retrieve information quickly and efficiently. Accuracy, full

concentration, and absolute confidentiality are required. Typing skills and excellent computer

knowledge skills are essential.

 

Physical/Mental Demands: Indoor office environment. Light work involves minimum physical

effort and washing vehicle and golf cart. Occasional lifting as needed.

Wage Range: 16.90-17.30/hr
