Biology Student Lecture/Lab Teaching Assistant (TA1,2) Sp’26 BIOL467 Herpetology

Position Summary

The Teaching Assistant 1 (TA1) acts as the course reader (grader), and academic data clerk for the instructor. This involves any associated class record keeping, including but not limited to grading of quizzes/exams/assignments, and involves filing, copying, data entry, and other clerical/computer skills as needed. The TA1 may also be called upon to assist in proctoring class exams.
 The Laboratory Teaching Assistant (TA2) assists the instructor with preparation/set-up, operation, and takedown/cleanup of laboratory classes. The TA2 facilitates instruction in the laboratory.
 This position combines both Lecture TA1 and Laboratory TA2 positions in the context of an interactive lecture course taught in a lab room. TA1,2 must work the entire lab class time on both days, though hours may reduce as quarter proceeds.

• Must be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the Spring 2026 quarter
• Must be able to start work (be cleared to work) on or before required start date March 31
• Must have taken Herpetology and passed with a grade of B or higher
