Job Summary: The Grants Administrative Assistant will aid the Director of Grant Operations by providing logistic and organizational support in compliance with policies and guidelines of the funding agencies. Duties will predominantly be administrative in nature and include communication, processing paperwork and data collection. The job will be primarily on-site with occasional remote work by prior agreement with the direct report(s).
Essential Duties:
● Coordinate meetings with each grant team and administration, including scheduling and agendas
● Assist with the processing of documentation such as travel applications and expense reports, and maintain an organized filing system of grant documents within the grant Shared Google Drive
● Collect quarterly reports from grant staff and maintain student participation database
● Coordinate logistics with the Provost’s Office for campus professional development workshops
● Assist with maintaining current versions of grant internal controls manuals
● Coordinate grant marketing and publicity with university public relations
● Assist with special events, as needed
● Inventory incoming deliveries and maintain physical storage system
● Manage logistics for grant advisory councils
● Maintain grants equipment database
● Assist the Title V Project Director and Director of Grant Operations with other duties as requested

Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university with experience assisting a multicultural population. Minimum three years’ experience in higher education, project coordination and/or communications. Experience with La Sierra University’s policies and procedures.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in a variety of communication processes.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written, active listening, critical thinking and persuasiveness with the ability to clearly communicate in a professional manner. Ability to understand reporting requirements and produce accurate technical reports.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google, Banner, Jaggaer and project management software.

Wage Range: $20.04 to $23.50 per hour, plus generous benefits
