Position Summary:
The OAS & Testing Student Worker will provide administrative and operational support to both the Office of Accessibility Services and the Testing Center. The role involves assisting in the facilitation of accommodations for students with disabilities, helping with testing coordination, and performing general office duties. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating testing appointments, including exam accommodations for students.
- Support the delivery of accessible services, including helping students request and manage accommodations.
- Provide front desk support, answering phones, responding to inquiries, and greeting students and visitors.
- Driving Accessible Golf-Cart
- Maintain records and track student services, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Help prepare and organize testing materials (e.g., exams, forms) and ensure compliance with testing protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and sensitive information, adhering to FERPA and institutional policies.
- Assist in general office tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
- Participate in training and development activities related to accessibility services and testing.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to provide assistance or refer them to appropriate resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned by OAS and Testing Center staff.
Qualifications:
- Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Comfortable with using office equipment and basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in an office or administrative setting is a plus, but not required.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position, requiring [insert expected hours/week]. Some flexibility in scheduling may be necessary based on testing needs.
Wage Range: $16.00 to $16.90 per hour
