Position Summary:
The Process Improvement Analyst supports manufacturing operations by identifying,
analyzing, and implementing process improvements that enhance safety, quality,
productivity, and efficiency. This role works closely with production, maintenance, quality,
and engineering teams to reduce waste, improve equipment performance, and support
continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in implementing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.
• Educates associates in proper procedures of company policy, safety and quality issues and operational requirements.
• Monitors machinery and equipment. Write work orders when necessary
• Collect and analyze production data, including downtime, scrap, cycle times, and efficiency metrics.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production and quality issues.
• Develop, lead and implement process improvement initiatives and activities throughout the plant to improve competitiveness and operational excellence.
• Eliminates waste through safety, quality and production improvements.
• Participate in process audits and recommend improvements.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation.
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting and process optimization.
• Guide the research, development and implementation of programs and best practices to maximize cost savings through implementation of proactive and innovative programs.
• Support new equipment installations, process changes, and product launches.
• Work with operators and supervisors to improve process consistency and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Prepare reports and presentations on improvement activities and project results.
Required Qualifications
• Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial
Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may
be considered.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing environment, preferably with hot stamps
• Proven technical ability
• Knowledge of PLC
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
Duties include but at not limited to stand, walk, twist, bend, lift, see, talk and hear, with an ability to travel. When visiting plant site locations, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibrations or hazardous materials.
