Overview:
Xavier University is seeking a full-time Plumber. Key duties include performing preventative maintenance, responding to service calls, troubleshooting issues in various building systems, and managing work orders through the campus's maintenance system. The role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles and safety standards. Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain:Install and repair plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets), pipes, and other plumbing materials throughout campus buildings.

Troubleshoot and diagnose:Investigate and fix problems in plumbing and related systems, such as water and drainage.

Preventative maintenance:Perform scheduled maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systems to prevent future issues and ensure continuous operation.

Work order management:Complete and manage work orders using the campus's computer maintenance management system.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training is preferred.
- Experience in plumbing, maintenance, or a similar facilities role is typically required, often 3-5 years.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with standard plumbing tools.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, working from ladders, or in confined spaces.
- A valid driver's license
