Job Overview: This position provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Office of the Graduate School, with key responsibilities spanning graduate admissions, front office management, event coordination, and digital communications. It plays a central role in ensuring smooth internal operations and a seamless experience for prospective and current graduate students. The role requires collaboration with Directors, department chairs, and University offices; oversight of administrative systems; coordination of events and logistics; and support for strategic communication efforts through website and social media updates. The position also serves as a backup resource for travel planning and student worker supervision, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Graduate School.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
1 Graduate Admissions Support:
· Maintains and updates graduate admissions.
· Supports the graduate financial aid process and manages the hold process for conditionally admitted graduate students.
2 General Admissions Operations:
· Assists with graduate student account setup, registration, and deposits.
· Provides backup support to Assistant Director for managing graduate student records.
Office Management and Administrative Support:
· Serves as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and staff engaging with the Graduate School by delivering exceptional customer service through in-person, phone, and email interactions, often managing a high call volume and an inbox.
· Coordinates day to day operations by overseeing the opening and closing of the office; maintaining a clean, organized, and professional workspace; Completing daily administrative tasks; managing the organization and inventory of Graduate School merchandise and supplies.
Job Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED required
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· 3-5 years of related experience
· Strong communication skills and a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team
· Detail-oriented and well-organized
