Xavier University is seeking applications for the position of Operations Coordinator to provide operational, budgetary, and logistical support for the Brueggeman Center for Dialogue and the Office of Government Relations. This position oversees budgets and manages expenditures; coordinates logistics for programs and events; and facilitates communication with internal and external community partners. The operational duties include logistical and budgeting support for student programs overseen by the Brueggeman and Government Relations Directors, including on campus employment, internships and Fellowships.

The Brueggeman Center for Dialogue and Office of Government Relations collaboratively advance interfaith, sustainability, social justice, community development, and government affairs activities. The responsibilities of this position focus on collaboration with constituents internal and external to Xavier University.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.  While the work may often require set hours during the academic year, we are open to more hybrid and flexible arrangements at other times.  The hourly rate for this position $21.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·        Oversee budgets, tracks and process expenditures for endowed funds, operational and individual programs.

·        Maintain calendars, coordinate meetings and travel logistics.

·        Assist with planning and coordinating events, to include event registration, attendance tracking, reserving venues, creating and distributing event announcements and reminders, catering and audio-visual requirements.

·        Manage Brueggeman Center house space by providing assistance to visitors, maintaining supplies and room conditions.

·        Provide support for the Brueggeman Fellows Program and student-related work of Government Director, to include coordinating travel arrangements and assist in producing and monitoring publicity.

·        Support communication with internal and external visitors which includes developing content for social media and providing assistance for the website.

Minimum Qualifications:

·        High school diploma with 1-3 years administrative or related experience

·        Experience managing budgets and expenses

·        Demonstrated skill using Microsoft Office, including proficiency with Excel

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills

·        Strong organizational skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detail

·        Ability to work independently on multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Humanities or Religion

·        Experience in higher education
