Xavier University is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper I position to maintain a safe and beautiful campus according to Xavier's standards.


·        Apply chemicals, top soil, grades surfaces, prepares seed beds, plants bulbs, weeds flower beds, trim and remove shrubs and trees.

·        Operates hand and power tools to cut, trim, edge grass and turf.

·        Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow all established safety procedures.

·        Lifts or moves heavy equipment or material unassisted up to 125 pounds.

·        Picks up litter, remove trash and recycling.

·        Remove snow and apply ice melt.

·        Keeps records of work performed and time and material used.


·        Possession of a valid driver’s license and driving record deemed insurable under Xavier's Vehicle Use & Driver Policy

·        Proficient in operating hand and power tools.

·        High School Diploma or Equivalent.
