Xavier University of Cincinnati invites applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track, teaching professor position. This faculty member will be a part of the Department of Health Services Administration beginning in the Fall 2023 semester. For this position, the Department specifically invites candidates with managerial and leadership experience in the health sector and a desire to teach the next generation of managers and leaders. The Department faculty is a diverse group of practitioners and scholars dedicated to preparing our students to be highly skilled and innovative contributors in the field of health services administration. In addition to industry experience, successful candidates will have earned a master’s degree or doctorate in a field closely related to health services administration, including an MBA, MHSA, or Master’s in marketing, organizational development and other business-related fields.

Responsibilities will include: teaching courses (on-campus or online, graduate and/or undergraduate), student advising, assistance with internship programs, and assisting in Department-related activities. Preference will be given to candidates prepared to teach courses related to one or more of the following areas: management of health care organizations, project development, strategy, marketing, professional development and job placement of graduates and undergraduates.

Xavier University is a private, selective, liberal arts and sciences institution offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. The Department of Health Services Administration includes two programs: 1) the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) certified Bachelors in Health Services Administration; and 2) the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) accredited Master in Health Services Administration.
