Estimated hiring range: $87,700 – $124,600

The Job

The Senior Operations and Strategy Manager will provide leadership in the areas of strategic planning, organizational development, business acumen and operational effectiveness for the department. Represent the department as a key liaison to multiple World Vision U.S. (WVUS) internal teams ensuring all internal operations are running smoothly. Assist in the development and refinement of key strategies, protocols and partnerships which are critical to achieving goals and help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

Responsibilities will include

  • Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
  • Serve as a business advisor to the department leadership team, relating to both quantitative (financial performance metrics) and qualitative (HR, relational) planning and issues.
  • Operations Leadership:
    • Responsible for understanding the role and tasks of all department sub-teams and leading activities designed to ensure their success through effective and efficient operations and protocols.
    • Identify areas for improvement in department through development and use of new tools, technologies, processes, or partnerships.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Lead overall department strategic planning activities to help the department carry out its mission and vision.
    • Develop new strategies and manage existing ones to achieve goals.
  • Strategic Project Leadership:
    • Oversee cross-divisional and department initiatives and projects in support of WVUS, division or department goals.
    • Ensure best use of department resources to prioritize and meet objectives of strategic projects in alignment and coordination with wider WVUS goals.
    • Develop strong relationships as the liaison/advocate to key WVUS departments through effective communications, planning and partnership.
    • Represent the department to these teams, ensuring their products, processes and systems support overall strategic and objectives.
  • May hire, fire, train, counsel, evaluate and recommend salary increases and promotions for those under direct supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.

Salary & Benefits

WVUS Pay Grade Level: 226

Estimated hiring range is: $87,700 – $124,600

The posted hiring salary range reflects pay for U.S. locations and is determined using market data and internal compensation guidelines. Actual compensation may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, and applicable laws. A different range may apply in certain locations.
