Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer.
Travel: Up to 25% of time domestically.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000-$146,000
The Job
The Senior Director, Philanthropy Foundations will maximize World Vision’s ministry by developing long-term, effective relationships with foundations yielding donations of cash grants providing $1,000,000 or more in financial resources annually. Generally works with foundations with $500 million or more in assets and annual giving of over $25 million. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
· Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
· Responsible for raising a minimum of $2,500,000 in cash grants each fiscal year through grants, multi-year commitments, and pooled funding collaborations.
· Develop long-term relationships through personal interactions with corporate/foundation representatives on assigned account list and strive to connect their interests with the WV mission and ministry.
Plan and implement account management strategy to ensure assigned accounts are given the appropriate amount of attention and treatment each year.
· Provide technical support and management of proposal design and development, working collaboratively and cross-functionally as needed to meet established standards.
Responsible for ensuring results-driving implementation, funded grant compliance, and timely reporting as needed to meet donor commitments.
Network outside World Vision’s current donor portfolios to engage new corporate/foundation prospects with capacity for grant awards of $1,000,000 or more.
· Arrange for major donors and those with a large sphere of influence to interact with the WVUS president, senior leadership, field staff and domestic/international projects, when appropriate.
Take qualified donors/prospects on trips to WV project sites to inform them about specific projects and encourage them to give at major foundation giving levels.
· Attend and participate in job related training programs as assigned.
May hire, fire, train, counsel, evaluate and recommend salary increases and promotions for those under direct and indirect supervision.
· Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). In addition to education or education equivalent, requires 8 years' work experience in fundraising, sales, and/or grant acquisition from large institutional donors. Demonstrated ability to manage major accounts is required. Depending on posting, position may require international programming work experience with deep technical knowledge in at least one programmatic sector.
Salary & Benefits
WVUS Pay Grade Level: 228
Estimated hiring range is $120,000-$146,000.
The posted hiring salary range reflects pay for U.S. locations and is determined using market data and internal compensation guidelines. Actual compensation may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, and applicable laws. A different range may apply in certain locations.
