The Job
The Sr. Contracts Management Specialist will manage the end to end contracting process for Channel Development and Management (CDM) in collaboration with the Senior Contracts Manager. Consult and advise Channel business owners and staff on partnership and service purchasing needs, organizational policies and procedures, and contract management strategy. In collaboration with the Senior Contract Manager, conduct and facilitate multifaceted contract negotiations with external marketing partners inclusive of writing and editing contracts. Assist with state solicitation filings and reports in accordance with each individual state’s regulation. Serve as subject matter expert and liaison between CDM fundraising channels and Legal, Finance, Vendor Contract Services (VCS) and Planning, Analysis and Reporting (PAR). Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Responsibilities Will Include
- Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
- Provide Contract, Accounts Payable, State Filing and Reporting, and Operational Services to the CDM Division.
- Contract Creation, Review and Compliance:
- Write and execute custom contracts and/or create variations of standard contract templates for single and multi-year agreements that may exceed $15M in total value.
- Manage, update and/or amend contract terms as required.
- Monitor contract renewal dates, issue new contracts and close out old contracts.
- Draft, review and periodically update standard contract templates for WV Artists, tour representatives, event sponsorships, and other high yield fundraising opportunities.
- Ensure fulfillment of deliverables, including invoicing and payments, account reconciliation and close-outs, extensions, renewals, and internal and external reporting. Comply with internal SLA's and gain WV Legal approval as required.
- Manage year-end contract process.
- Maintain clear and accurate records related to contract proposals, correspondence, contact data, and approvals in order to meet regulatory requirements for contractual documentation.
- Operational Support:
- Create campaign codes, bundles, and event ID’s for partner events.
- Work with Accounts Payable and appropriate WVUS departments to ensure proper payment to artists and vendors based on contractual agreements through invoice processing, requisition/PO creation, and acting as a bill owner and buyer.
- Conduct background screenings and process/file vendor business documentation.
- Conduct research on various contracts, sponsorship acquisitions or other topics as needed.
- Produce detailed, accurate financial reporting and analysis for external partners, Finance, and CDM staff.
- Assist Senior Contract Manager with high volume of state professional solicitor registrations, contract filings, and reports, ensuring timely compliance with each state’s laws and reporting deadlines.
- Serve as contract consultants and service representative for CDM departments. Advise business owners, organizational leaders, internal fundraising staff, and partner account executives on the internal contracting process, relevant policies and procedures, contract costs, and the terms of new or existing agreements.
- Consult and collaborate with Legal, Finance and other internal and/or external subject matter experts and key stakeholders in vetting contracts, while meeting business owner expectations and protecting WVUS interests.
- Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (eight years) required. In addition to education or education equivalent, requires 3-5 years' work experience in contracts, or related area. A demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage projects/processes is required. Broad understanding of general accounting principles, finance and administration, contract management, fundraising and/or marketing is required.
Salary & Benefits
WVUS Pay Grade Level: 222
Estimated hiring range is $70,000-$82,000.
This range applies to locations with a market similar to our Federal Way and Washington D.C. offices. A different range may apply based on your work location.
