Location: Remote from within approved locations within the U.S.; Hybrid if near Seattle or Washington, D.C.
Reports to: Director of International Vision Trips
Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree. Requires three years of work experience in project management, international/domestic travel, event management, or related field. Project management certification preferred. Bilingual language skills preferred.
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer.
Travel: Up to 15% of time both in development and fragile contexts or domestic trips to WV office locations
Estimated Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
The Job
World Vision is looking for a Vision Trip Manager who will create best-in-class international and domestic field experiences that transform the hearts of prospects and current donors by providing opportunities for personal experiences that educate, change hearts, promote long-term partnerships with World Vision, and result in increased revenue for the organization. You will oversee the work of project teams through the life-cycle of the trip from planning to implementation of vision trips. At World Vision we are going to the ends of the earth, often where no one else goes, to pull up the roots of poverty and plant the seeds of change. Help us carry out our Christian organization's mission, vision, and strategies by working closely with our World Vision staff and donors regarding their vision trips.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
- Carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies.
- Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word, and sign.
- Consult and collaborate with internal partners and clients to design vision trip experiences informed by donor insights that align with donor interests, needs, desires and expectations as well as World Vision fundraising goals.
- Utilize understanding of channel fundraising strategies and World Vision’s work within various countries to design trips that align with channel fundraising goals.
- Partner with International Programs Group (IPG) and Sponsorship Quality teams to identify funding needs and opportunities in alignment with organizational priorities and campaigns.
- Communicate with multiple National Offices to ensure that World Vision US and National office have shared understanding of the purpose and desired outcomes of each experience.
- Oversee the vision trip life-cycle of multiple trips, simultaneously, including the planning, design, trip implementation, and post-trip follow-up.
- Maintain master schedule of all trips, tracking major tasks and milestones, timelines and budgets.
- Manage communication and workflow between internal partners, external vendors, internal clients, and international field offices, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and communicated appropriately.
- In partnership with channels, ensure all travelers receive appropriate travel orientation material and complete required travel and legal forms.
- Arrange and coordinate with National Office all in-country logistics, including: visit to funded project sites, sponsored child visits, hotels, transportation, translation, meals, etc.
- Monitor travel advisors and potential impact on donor and staff travel, providing counsel to World Vision US leadership as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

- Comfortable consulting and collaborating with internal partners and clients to design great vision trip experiences that align with donor interests, needs, desires and expectations, as well as World Vision fundraising goals.
- Willingness to provide training and coaching to fundraising colleagues, peers, National Office staff and Leadership
- Able to facilitate transforming experience for the lives of the beneficiaries and our supporters.
- The ability to travel domestic and internationally.
- Able to work various hours to connect with our international offices.
- Must be on-call 24/7 when a trip is in the field.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (eight years).
- In addition to education or education equivalent, requires three years or more of work experience in project management, international/domestic travel, event management, or related field.
- Professional fluency in Spanish, preferred.
- Project management certification preferred.
- The ability to multi-task various trips simultaneously.
- Experience with CVent is a plus.
- Vast experience with Adobe and MS Office Suite - PowerPoint, excel, outlook, word, Share Point.
- Experience with various virtual conference platforms (Zoom, Ring Central, etc.)
- Knowledge on video editing, trimming and adding captions, highly desired.
- Experience with training and coaching internal and external clients, strongly desired.
Salary Range & Benefits:
• WVUS Pay Grade Level: 223
• The estimated hiring range is $70,000 – $90,000
• The full earning capabilities for this role is $66,700.00 - $100,100.00
• This range applies to locations with a market similar to our Washington D.C. and Seattle-area office. A different range may apply based on your work location.
• Job offers are based on relevant qualifications and pay equity.
