The Job
At World Vision USA we invite people to positively impact the lives of the world's most vulnerable children through charitable giving. Our recipe includes love of all people, thriftiness, and targeting the root causes of poverty to bring about human transformation and fullness of life. With us every 60 seconds a family gets water, a hungry child is fed, and a family gets the tools to overcome poverty. As WASH Fellow - Data Innovation & AI Solutions your expertise will be brought to bear on work that is close to the heart of God (in the spirit of Matthew 25:34-40). Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) are at the heart of child well-being and foundational to World Vision’s mission for all children and their communities to experience life in all its fullness.
For more than 35 years, World Vision has been committed to stand in the gap, globally leveraging resources and locally working alongside communities to ensure millions of children around the world have access to clean water, dignified sanitation and healthy hygiene practices. However, there is much work left to be done. As our work enters a new decade with only 5 years remaining on the calendar to achieve the 2030 U.N. Sustainable Development Goals, World Vision must accelerate efforts. We are in the final year of a 5 year Global WASH Business Plan, outlining our commitment to invest $1 billion over the next five years to extend the impact of our work across 42 countries, and looking to lean into innovation – including advanced analytics – in our next 5 year strategy. Develop your skills, explore your interests, and build your international development experience by making a meaningful contribution in helping millions of people. We’re looking for a full-time, 2-year fellow to contribute to our data innovation and AI solutions. Bring your creative, tenacious character and interest in learning to our highly productive WASH team of 18 people that sits within our International Programs Group.

- Analyze Data from Remote Sensing & Hydraulic Models: You will collaborate with team members to analyze data from countries to generate insights for water distribution and management.

- Communicate Project Results: You will contribute to creating reports, visualizations, and presentations that showcase the impact of our WASH work to internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage in Mentorship and Professional Development: You will have the opportunity to work with and be mentored by WASH leaders receiving guidance on navigating global development challenges.
