At a Glance 

Role: Marketing Business Operations Manager.

Level: Associate to Mid-Level (individual contributor, requires at least 4 years of experience).

Location: Prefer Seattle area (our USHQ is located in Federal Way, WA). Pacific Northwest region possible.

Office Culture: We call it “flexible remote.” Translation: This team has required onsite days 4-6 days per month, but outside of that we’re not requiring staff to come into the office a prescribed number of days or a percentage of time each week. Working closely with managers, employees may work virtually, work onsite following our safety protocols, or a blend of the two. 

Industry: Enterprise, non-profit charity.

Salary: Full range is $71,300 - $110,500 (offers typically fall between $75,000 - $91,000). DOE.

Responsibilities

Priority 1 (50-60% of job): Collaborate with VP/Sr. Director of Strategy & Operations to Optimize Their Focus 

  1. Manage the VP’s calendar by leading a weekly meeting to review upcoming activities, ensure pre-reads are prepared, and identify any potential conflicts or major meetings that need advance preparation.
  2. Streamline the VP’s inbox by filtering out unnecessary emails, consolidating important messages, and identifying those requiring pre-reads to incorporate into focused work time.
  3. Gain a deep understanding of the strategy for Private Segment Product Marketing (PSPM) to prioritize time effectively.
  4. Continuously enhance processes to optimize the VP’s time management. 

Priority 2 (25% of job): Collaborate with the Operations Team to Organize Work Across the Division 

  1. Plan comprehensive all-staff meetings that align with our objectives and deliverables.
  2. Assist in developing and implementing well-defined processes for cross-divisional collaboration that are documented and consistently followed. 

Priority 3 (20% of job): Work with Leaders and the Strategy & Operations Team to Enhance Workplace Culture in PSPM 

  1. Organize events and hospitality for significant workshops and meetings, support the development and updates of Our Voice action plans (i.e. organizational health survey), and design meaningful all-division Bible devotions.
  2. Create engaging communications (emails, agendas, PowerPoint presentations) that reflect the marketing culture, vision, and the role of PSPM in driving progress.

The Team 

As a Business Operations Manager, you report to the Senior Director of Marketing Operations & Strategic Technology and serve on a highly motivated matrixed team of individuals focused on delivering great experiences to donors. You will be directly part of a small but mighty team that partners across the larger Marketing, Fundraising, Creative, and Operational teams. You get to be a true cross-divisional player, growing in your skills to influence others, manage work, and communicate change. 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field or 8 years of equivalent work experience.
  • In addition, this role requires 4 years of work experience requiring leadership, communication, negotiation, and administration skills. Discretion and confidentiality required.
  • Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate World Vison Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Skills

  • Interest in learning & adapting to new ways of working.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working with senior leadership.
  • Experience in marketing or working with marketing teams is highly desired.

Salary Range & Benefits

Your compensation and benefits are important to you so they’re important to us. The full salary range for this role is $71,300 - $110,500. The typical hiring range is $75,000 - $91,000. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.
