Required Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field or 8 years of equivalent work experience (Master's degree preferred). In addition, this role requires at least 10-15 years of related, progressive marketing experience. In particular, this position requires experience in growing and managing subscription/membership products. Also required are 5 years of managing a marketing team as well as previous responsibility for P&L. 

Preferred Experience: Experience leading and developing a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making; Operate as a player-coach, combining hands-on execution with strategic leadership; Demonstrated ability to successfully lead transformational change. Salary Range: $127,895.72 - $217,768.39. Applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. The typical hiring range is $175,000 - $200,000. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity. Location: United States. The role can be based in over 40 states.

As Senior Director, Sponsorship Product Marketing your expertise will be brought to bear on work that is close to the heart of God (in the spirit of Matthew 25:34-40). Look no further to connect your passion to life-changing work with impact by providing leadership and management for our flagship recurring product, child sponsorship, representing over $300M in cash revenue annually. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing a healthy sponsorship portfolio in the US market and overseeing marketing penetration goals for the mass segment. As part of that, you’ll lead the development of holistic product strategy and plans and oversee and ensure flawless execution. Be responsible for driving growth and positioning products and experiences throughout the donor journey to deepen donor engagement ensuring a healthy portfolio (retention, satisfaction, etc.). You’ll oversee sponsor product life cycle management, including product strategy, offer development, value proposition, cultivation treatment/experiences, impact and financial reporting, and meeting revenue/yield/alignment goals. Responsibilities include: 

  1. Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate our core values into decisions within the scope of the role.
  2. Lead and oversee the entire sponsorship product life span from product and offer development, messaging, channel support, and long-term cultivation treatment/experiences integrating people, processes, and technologies across the enterprise.
    • Lead and drive the development and execution of sponsorship product marketing strategies and plans that drive awareness, purchase, and growth of products by leveraging and applying analytics, insights, and market research.
    • Serve as a thought leader and articulate ideas to evolve and facilitate the evolution of donor experience embedding donor-centric thinking and practices across spheres of influence and infusing distinctives across donor engagements to consistently deliver value to donors.
    • Oversee and guide the creation of new products and offers to meet segment(s) and channel needs while maximizing the flexibility of funds.
  3. Lead and inspire a high-performing team. Create an environment that fosters creativity and innovation. Set clear goals, provide ongoing feedback, and empower team members to achieve their full potential.
    • Hire, fire, train, counsel, evaluate, and recommend salary increases and promotions for those under direct supervision.
  4. Lead engagement with customer research to secure necessary market trends, segment insights and research, etc. to ensure sponsorship product marketing plans reflect an in-depth understanding of segment(s) and industry trends to develop or assess viable opportunities that drive sponsor acquisition and retention.
  5. Ensure that sponsorship product revenue goals are met or exceeded, including yield to ministry.
  6. Establish strategic focus, objectives, dashboard performance indicators, and work plans. Regularly monitor results, uphold accountability, and support integration between marketing and fundraising teams, International Programs, and Operation/Support teams.
  7. Utilizing expertise in eCommerce, lead and collaborate with cross-functional partners on all aspects of eCommerce including sponsorship merchandising, planning, website strategy promotional campaigns, and online marketing.  Drive strategic initiatives to promote a more holistic digital approach between the organization and our donors.
    • Build a digital-first mindset and capabilities to ensure technology and culture work together to deliver unparalleled donor experiences.
  8. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure quality in planning and efficiency and timeliness in execution. 
    • Collaborate with marketing and channel teams to strategically develop term product plans.
    • Lead product marketing team in partnering with International Programs teams to achieve alignment in the development of funding priorities with in-country needs, regional strategy, and global partnership initiatives.
    • Influence and build relationships across World Vision channels to increase acquisitions, drive improvement in channel strategies, donor retention, and revenue results to increase the effectiveness of our ministry.
    • Collaborate with channel leadership and operations in building and implementing effective sponsor product training for channels.
    • Influence and collaborate with colleagues throughout the WVI Partnership to drive the implementation of global segment and product marketing goals and strategic initiatives. Represent WVUS interests, influencing the global strategy by providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise.
  9. Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

  1. Mastering and Effectively Applying Donor Segmentation Insights throughout the Sponsorship Experience. Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging donor segmentation data to enhance the sponsor's journey.
  2. Sustained Enhancement of Sponsor Satisfaction. Consistent and measurable improvements in sponsor satisfaction levels.
  3. Expansion of Sponsorship Portfolio. Achieving substantial growth in the number of sponsors and sponsored children.
  4. Fostering a High-Performing and Empowered Marketing Team. Building and leading a team of empowered and skilled marketers, well-equipped to drive success.

05 Salary Range & Benefits Your compensation and benefits are important to you so they’re important to us. $127,895.72 - $217,768.39.
