THE TEAM
Make-A-Wish America is the national headquarters for our organization, providing resources and support for our Chapters around the country. The Information Technology team is comprised of a diverse team of technologists responsible for building and operating the technologies that enable Make-A-Wish to grant the wish of every eligible child.
THE ROLE
The Senior Salesforce Administrator will be working as part of Make-A-Wish’s (MAW) Enterprise Applications department that delivers excellent digital products. This individual will work with internal product management and cross-functional teams and is responsible for building, testing, deploying, and supporting features on our Salesforce platform. This role is critical to leading MAW in building and maintaining a best-in-class CRM to support the needs of our federated chapters across the US. This administrator role owns declarative solutions development, advanced troubleshooting & technical support, and lastly release management in our sandbox & production Salesforce environments.
WHERE YOU COME IN
As a Lead Manager, Senior Salesforce Administrator at Make-A-Wish America you will have the following responsibilities:
· Configure changes to workflows, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, flows, dashboards and reports.
· Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing, catching and resolving issues before launch
· Effectively document and communicate Salesforce changes and release updates to end users and stakeholders.
· Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, administrators, and project managers to ensure successful delivery of Salesforce projects.
· Lead by example through thoughtful use of written communication and client presentation
Strategy & Planning:
· Select & deploy appropriate CI/CD tools. Establish and iterate ways to automate & improve release cycle processes
· Design procedures for system troubleshooting & maintenance
· Provide release management mentorship for junior team members
Operational Management:
· Deploy updates and fixes, and provide advanced technical support
· Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge and Abilities
· Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration, customization, and development using Lightning Components, Flow, and other declarative Salesforce technologies.
· Enough knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, and SOQL to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project
· Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator, with a track record of successful Salesforce implementations.
· Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud.
· Strong knowledge in DevOps, CI/CD processes and code versioning systems.
· Strong knowledge in the release and change management processes and practices.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
· 4+ years in a Salesforce Administrator role.
· Salesforce Administrator Certification required; Advanced Administrator Certification preferred. Other Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer 1 or 2, App Builder, Sales/Service Cloud) is a plus.
· Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Nonprofit Success Pack.
· Experience working with DevOps, CI/CD processes and code versioning systems such as Github or others.
· Experience working with release management tools such as Gearset or others.
· Experience working in/with the nonprofit sector with an understanding of fundraising principles is a plus.
· Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Jira, Agile.
Working Conditions
· Ability to thrive in a remote environment.
· Some travel required.
· May on occasion require work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and outside of normal business hours.
