THE TEAM
The Brand and Marketing Team is comprised of innovative marketing professionals who elevate our brand and optimize enterprise marketing activities. This team’s work is focused on enhancing brand equity to increase individual and corporate giving to provide resources to grant a wish for every eligible child.
THE ROLE
The Lead Manager of Storytelling, you will strengthen our mission by leveraging industry-leading storytelling to translate brand awareness into action. This is a transformational opportunity to build and maintain Make-A-Wish storytelling strategies that support brand-building and revenue-generating efforts.
WHERE YOU COME IN
As the Lead Manager, Storytelling you will:
- Collaboratively build, execute and maintain strategies, processes and expertise that support effective storytelling throughout the National office and chapters.
- Serve as the central focal point for the identifying, conceptualizing, gathering, archiving and distributing the best Make-A-Wish stories throughout the enterprise, and ensure user-friendly accessibility to these story assets.
- Drive short and long-term strategy that leverages the power of storytelling to build brand relevance and grow revenue. This includes developing and maintaining storytelling strategy in partnership with some of America’s most philanthropic corporate partners, as well as sports and entertainment influencers.
- Through positive leadership and insightful influence, drive the direction, organization, communication and training surrounding storytelling best practices at the National Office and chapters.
- Work closely with National Office and chapter stakeholders to discover, assess, organize and streamline storytelling procedures. Lead the upkeep and maintenance of these procedures and assets with a focus on thoroughness and accuracy.
- In collaboration with the Creative Team, provide industry-leading consultative thought leadership to support excellence in the creation of written, visual and motion storytelling assets.
- Build a strong expertise with the ever-evolving National Office and chapters storytelling needs and resources, leveraging them on a daily basis to source, organize and distribute the strongest and best stories in the organization, meeting organizational strategies, objectives and timelines.
- Utilize organizational systems and technology, to drive collaborative communication across teams, advise on sourcing status and actions, in order to complete deliverables by established deadlines.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years serving in content strategy and storytelling leadership role, managing and organizing storytelling content for multiple stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred.
- Previous storytelling and content-building experience that effectively communicates brand mission while driving revenue results
- Advanced understanding of how to research, map, design, build and maintain effective and accurate processes and procedures.
- Ability to navigate day-to-day within several department systems including a Workfront Project Management System, Salesforce and Data Asset Management System.
- Position may require travel to organizational conferences and events.
