THE TEAM
Make-A-Wish America is the national headquarters for our organization, providing resources and support for our Chapters around the country. The Integrated Fundraising Team's focus is to maximize donor engagement and elevate fundraising programs across the country. This work includes executing on national strategies and consulting with Chapters to amplify regional fundraising programs.
THE ROLE
The Senior Manager, Midlevel Giving is accountable for building a donor-centric, multichannel strategy focused on moving donors into the midlevel program (Circle of Stars), soliciting, retaining, and engaging current midlevel donors, and, in partnership with the Leadership Giving team and chapter major gift officers, upgrading donors within midlevel into managed portfolios. This role will develop and lead a cross-functional effort from digital, direct marking, and major gifts pipeline development to develop, execute, and evaluate progress toward the strategy.

As the Senior Manager, Midlevel Giving you will:
- Develops and leads the implementation of a multichannel strategy and supporter journey for the midlevel donor audience in collaboration with channel owners, with goals to increase revenue and upgrades from these donors through relevant and donor-centric engagement. Sets annual targets and evaluates progress and pivots needed to achieve goals.
- Plans segmentation strategies to effectively engage, steward and upgrade donors throughout their lifecycle including acquisition, renewal, reactivation and upsell.
- Works with Integrated Fundraising and Revenue leadership to proactively develop and deepen partnerships with chapters in support of advancing midlevel giving for the enterprise.
- Execute integrated fundraising campaigns to help achieve the program's strategic and revenue goals. Work with agency partners on the execution of integrated fundraising campaigns (from strategy, audience segmentation, data output, creative development, and production), ensuring jobs go out on time and on budget.
- Leads and develops the donor advised fund and other non-cash gift (e.g., gift annuities, etc.) marketing strategies to target donor audiences across channels.
- Makes decisions regarding content, tests, and communication cadence for this audience.
- Work across revenue teams to complete specific activities such as the qualification and movement of donors between mid-level and major gifts, cultivation and solicitation of “transitional” and planned giving donors and develop outreach plans to midlevel donors including personalized outreach and supporter journeys.
- Communicates program updates across the enterprise.
- Develop and execute donor engagement and cultivation calendar including organizing special calls, events or invitations for mid-level donors as needed.
- Analyzes campaign and appeal performance and develops campaign wrap-up reports to be shared across the enterprise.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience in integrated fundraising required. Specific experience with midlevel giving is preferred.
- Proficiency with digital marketing and direct mail techniques; experience in developing and executing multichannel campaigns with a personalized outreach component.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, with a capacity to see jobs to completion, to set priorities, to engage constructively in problem solving, and to work constructively in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills required, specifically in Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior experience working in a non-profit organization desired.
- Position may require travel to organizational conferences and events.
