THE TEAM
Make-A-Wish America is the national headquarters for our organization, providing resources and support for our Chapters around the country. Our Corporate Alliances team is focused on developing relationships to inspire corporate giving and philanthropy. These vital partnerships provide the resources to support wish granting across the US.
THE ROLE
Join the National Corporate Partnership Development Team as a key contributor, driving high revenue goals through strategic prospecting, moves management, portfolio composition, industry trend analysis, and national partnership development. This role offers the opportunity to play a crucial part in securing major national corporate partnerships and contributing to the team’s overall success.
WHERE YOU COME IN
As the Lead Manager, Corporate Partnerships you will:
- Establishes and executes a pipeline of opportunities sufficient in number and scope to meet or exceed 7-figure annual corporate team goals.
- Proactively identify and research potential corporate partners to drive new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic prospecting plans to target high-value partnerships.
- Analyze industry trends and market data to uncover new partnership opportunities.
- Ensures regular and sufficient communications with stakeholders on pipeline and revenue goals.
- Negotiates corporate contracts on behalf of Make-A-Wish and collaborates with legal counsel when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Partnership Development team to develop and implement engagement strategies that maximize revenue potential.
- Track and report on key performance metrics to ensure alignment with revenue goals.
- Participate in team meetings, providing insights and recommendations to enhance partnership strategies.
- Track and monitor Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) landscape and non-profit partnership best practices and shares news and trends with the Corporate Alliances team and chapter colleagues.
- Protect the brand by providing overall guidance and direction to MAWFA's corporate alliances ensuring performance standards, Better Business Bureau (BBB), Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT) and Potentially Inappropriate or Controversial Sponsors (PICS) requirements are upheld, and represent the organization's good name
- Leads Corporate Foundation strategy and securing new regional partnerships
- Perform other related job duties, as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Strong passion for sales and corporate partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of corporate sales and or fund-raising business development, marketing, sales, strategic alliances, or a related field; strong preference for non-profit experience in a chapter-based model
- Excellent research and analytical skills to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
- Experience in Salesforce or a similar platform for managing a sales prospect pipeline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, public speaking, sales, and presentation skills
- Ability to deal with confidential donor/client/employee relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Better Business Bureau standards regarding charitable solicitations desired
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Position may require travel to organizational conferences and events.
