Make-A-Wish America is the national headquarters for our organization, providing resources and support for our Chapters around the country. This team is comprised of innovative nonprofit professionals who elevate our mission across the organization, focusing on programs that are unique to wish granting.  



The Lead Coordinator of entertainment & Sports Relations supports the ESR department in areas of celebrity engagement, celebrity wishes, and chapter support.  



 As the Lead Coordinator, Entertainment & Sports Relations you will:   

  • Provide customer service to chapters and international affiliates as a first point of contact for the team on all Entertainment & Sports relations requests including wishes, publicity requests, social media and celebrity engagement.
  • Maintain information in Salesforce database and runs reports on both wishes and celebrity engagement.
  • Assist with the coordination of social media posts, publicity requests, and other public mentions of celebrities, obtaining prior approval as needed.
  • Manage stewardship process including awards, providing wish stories and pictures for various communication vehicles and mailings.
  • Support team operations needs such as subscription management, wish in-kind tracking and billing
  • Prepare materials for large wish events, occasionally hosting virtual or in-person wishes 
  • Perform other related job duties, as assigned.



  • 1+ years of experience working in the sports or celebrity industry and/or with a non-profit organization.
  • Strong computer skills required, specifically in Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience with Salesforce desired.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelors degree in business, non-profit management, liberal arts or related field preferred
  • Position may require travel to organizational conferences and events.
