READ CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTINUING:

I hereby certify that the information I have provided in this application is true and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief.  I understand that any false or misleading information or misrepresentations by omission in my application form or any related document, interviews, or other aspect of my application for employment may result in my disqualification as a candidate for employment or my immediate discharge, if already employed.

I authorize and request any and all of my former employers to provide to Whiting-Turner or any agent acting on its behalf a history of my employment by them and the reasons for the termination thereof.  I further authorize and request any other person to provide to Whiting-Turner and/or its agents any information concerning my character, general reputation, personal characteristics, business activities, educational background, and creditworthiness, as permitted by law.  Moreover, I release each such employer and each such person from any and all liability of whatsoever nature by reason of furnishing said information to Whiting-Turner and/or its agents.

I understand my employment is contingent upon: (1) successful completion of any required background checks, which will be obtained with my prior written authorization from a Consumer Reporting Agency, in the form of a consumer or investigative consumer report; (2) any required pre-employment drug or alcohol test; and (3) my providing appropriate work authorization and completing and I-9 form within three days of employment.  With regard to the background check, I understand that I will be provided a link to an online authorization form, which I must complete.  If I am unable to complete an authorization online, I may request a hard-copy authorization from Whiting-Turner.  Failure to complete the authorization, either online or in hard copy, will result in my disqualification as a candidate for employment.

Furthermore, I represent that: (1) I am legally free to enter into an employment relationship with Whiting-Turner; (2) I have no obligation to any other person or entity that would affect or conflict with my employment with Whiting-Turner; and (3) my employment with Whiting-Turner will not violate any law, rule, regulation, order, decree or contract.

I further understand and acknowledge that, if an employment relationship is established, my employment is “at-will” and of indefinite duration, unless I am subject to a collective bargaining agreement that provides otherwise.  As an at-will employee, either Whiting-Turner or I have the right to terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice.

I understand that nothing contained in this employment application or granting of an interview is intended to create an employment contract between Whiting-Turner and myself either for employment or for granting benefits.  No promises regarding employment have been made to me, and I understand that no such promise or guarantee is binding upon Whiting-Turner unless made in writing.

I understand that if accepted for employment, it is necessary to abide by the rules and policies of Whiting-Turner.

I agree to take any tests or examinations Whiting-Turner may request in order to reach a decision as to my suitability for employment, for a particular position, or for continued employment, if employed.  I understand and agree that my failure to achieve a passing or successful test result, as determined by Whiting-Turner, may result in my disqualification as a candidate or, if I am already employed, the termination of my employment.
