Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Stormwater Specialist to join our team in our Denver, CO office. This candidate will be responsible for construction support activities that include, but are not limited to, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans development, construction stormwater permitting, compliance, inspections, and reporting. The position will include both office and field duties in support of Wind, Solar and Residential development markets.  Come thrive within a creative team environment that has tons of opportunities for advancement. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with existing staff on stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) development, NPDES permitting, compliance, inspections and reporting.
  • Perform support function for the Company on NPDES stormwater permitting and communicate with environmental regulatory agencies for our clients.
  • Perform site inspections for SWPPP compliance and standards and provide corrective action plans.
  • Review and assist with the field coordination, and ensure all environmental regulatory policies and programs are followed.
  • Periodic overnight travel to project job sites may be required. (up to 15%, no long-term deployments)
  • Other duties as assigned by the Construction Stormwater Principal and/or Water Resource Manager

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in fields related to environmental management or water resources.
  • Field experience with SWPPP writing, erosion control planning, water resource engineering, or related experience.
  • Approximately 2 to 4 years of experience in environmental permitting, construction NPDES permitting, SWPPP writing, erosion control planning, water resource engineering or related experience.
  • Ability to communicate with government agencies and authorities.
  • Ability to communicate with developers and contractors and provide technical guidance for NPDES and SWPPP compliance.


For Preferred Consideration (Not Required):

  • Professional Certification(s) including by not limited to: CPESC, CESSWI, CISEC, EIT, PE
  • Other state-specific qualifications
  • SPCC plan writing and inspections.
  • Renewable energy experience.
