WaferTech currently has a Equipment Technician-CMP position open in our Diffusion department. As an equipment technician, will perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on polishers, scrubbers, stockers and PST sorters. Should have mechanical and electronics background. Hands-on electronics experience necessary.  Understands the use of electrical test equipment (i.e. DVM, Oscilloscope).

Needs to be a team-oriented person capable of clear communication with on shift technicians and engineers. Fast paced industry with a wide array of responsibilities. Support and be involved with troubleshooting, maintaining and improving CMP equipment, components and assemblies; will assist with all tasks related and assigned to the equipment group.  Has to be willing to learn new responsibilities as required.  Candidate displays teamwork and “can do” attitude as well as positive outlook under high pressure. 



Responsibilities include:

  • Will work on AMAT Mirra polishers.  This is the main process tool in CMP and heaviest work load.
  • Will work on DNS scubbers. This is a key process tool in CMP with detailed rebuild requirements.
  • Will work on PST sorters.  This is a heavily used tool that transfers product in all areas of the fab.
  • Will work on Daifuku stocker system. This is a system used to transport wafers to various areas in the fab. 
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality system.
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities.

Required Skills
