Facilities Electrician will be the onsite employee to respond to system alarms and maintenance during shift hours.  The position is part of a larger engineering team which manages all maintenance, troubleshooting, and system development for critical Facilities equipment.  Due to 24/7 manufacturing environment, position sometimes requires overtime and availability of being contacted outside of scheduled working hours.  Employee will work a compressed shift (Four 12-hr days one week, three 12-hr days the next week) from 5:45AM – 6PM.

  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of Facilities electrical equipment (motor starters, motors, low-voltage control circuits)


  • Maintenance including Medium voltage generators, electrical panels, motors, substations, VFDs


  • Site rounds which requires daily walking and stairs


  • Windows-based communication to share knowledge with other onsite personnel


  • Some industrial/commercial construction include EMT installation, cable pulling and terminations


  • Responding to system alarms while on shift, will be expected to work nights and weekends at supervisor’s request


  • Propose improvements in system design, component selection, and maintenance plans to optimize system reliability and sustainability


  • Implement team ideas in terms of construction, configuration, and operation.

Required Skills

  • 5 years’ experience as a Plant Electrician or Electrician trade


  • Electrical License (Washington Journey level or Oregon Journeyman / reciprocal)


  • Extensive National Electrical Code knowledge


  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)


  • Team player, solution-minded, takes ownership, self-managed


  • Can manage difficult terrain, stairs, extended periods standing / walking, and can safely lift 35-lbs.

Required Experience

Preferred not required:

  • 2-yr or higher college, or technical degree


  • Programming experience: PLC (Allen Bradley, ladder logic)


  • Interested in auto mechanics, programming, mechatronics, robotics or construction.
