WaferTech is seeking a Facilities Process Engineer to join our Process Water team. The Process Section is responsible for the waste water treatment plant, including neutralization, sedimentation and solid separation systems, as well as the ultra-pure water plant (DI/RO/Ultra Filtration). This team also operates numerous water reclamation and recycle systems. WaferTech is a fast-paced and dynamic semiconductor environment, which operates 24x7 and 365 days/year.  Position may require occasional onsite response during off hours.



  • Perform daily system operations including daily pass-downs, charts/trends review, project supervision, preventive maintenance and vendor scheduling, training and maintaining area 5S/6S. 


  •  Determine Equipment and systems improvements and implement improvement projects, as well as keeping up with system repair and maintenance.


  • Assist in construction and commissioning of continuous improvement projects

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Required Experience

  • Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or other related engineering BS degree is required


  • 3-5+ years of directly related experience with waste water treatment and/or ultra-pure water systems


  • Hands on experience with industrial equipment


  • Ability to work in a team environment and oversee technicians and contractors


  • Experience performing major constitution activities or maintenance in a high-tech industry is preferred 


  • Strong professional attitude with a focus on safety, teamwork skills, self-motivation, reliable work execution, attention to detail and continuous improvement as well as a knack for innovative problem solving


  • Knowledge of industrial control systems preferred


  • Computer skills including MS Office and an ability to learn computer programs specific to the job, and familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs is a plus


  • Candidate who speaks Mandarin is a plus, to aid with routine communications with counterparts at Taiwan fabs
