Quality Systems Auditor

WaferTech is seeking an internal quality and customer audit team leader who can continue to enhance the internal quality audit program, strive to build customer relationships through and effective audit practice, and add value to management through the proactive identification of management system weakness and opportunities and consult with the owners to identify and implement solutions.  The ideal candidate with have working knowledge of audit, semiconductor manufacturing, quality tools including lean, and leading teams. 


Responsibilities will include:


  • Lead internal quality audit program and mentor supporting operations self-check programs. Responsibilities include audit planning, execution, analysis and reporting to top management.  Communicate and align audit activity with TSMC peers in Taiwan.  Identify and act on opportunities for improvement of the audit program.  Coach audit team. 
  • Host customer audits with a goal of improved customer understanding, perception and satisfaction. Create agendas, facilitate surveys, prepare supporting teams, oversee material preparation, act on behalf of the company to face the customer, and follow up with action requests to completion. 
  • Host annual IATF16949/ISO9001 certification audit including all planning, preparation, execution, and follow up activities.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify appropriate corrective actions, and act as a consultant to improve the management system processes to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Good understanding of the requirements of Quality Systems and Quality Systems Management.
  • Good understanding of the ISO 9001 and IATF16949 requirements.
  • Understanding of quality methodologies including quality tools, root cause analysis and lean. Six sigma certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and practices. Some fab experience preferred.
  • Previous customer facing experience preferred.
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Self Starter
  • Basic computer skills include the proficient use of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Some capability to write macros and access databases is preferred.
  • Mandarin speaker a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills.


Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing industry experience
