SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Program Manager, Principal to lead the coordinated management of interdependent and related projects while supporting ongoing operations and driving business growth. This individual will play a key role in aligning project goals with strategic objectives and ensuring successful execution across cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program.
- Responsible for determining and coordinating shared resources to the overall benefit of the program and will often be responsible for stakeholder management, particularly stakeholder’s external to the organization such as customers, and subcontractors.
- Oversee the preparation of proposals, plans, specifications, and contract financials.
- Maintain current revenue objectives as well as contribution to organic growth.
- Support Business Development efforts, contract pricing models to support objectives in contract.
- Drive organic growth by leveraging our current book of business and relationships.
- Resolve program-level issues and drive internal alignment.
- Serve as Capture Manager for strategic opportunities, supporting proposal strategy and technical direction.
- Represent WR in the development of strategic partnerships and expanded capabilities.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering discipline or relevant field.
- Master’s degree, preferred.
- Fifteen (15)+ years experience in senior-level project management or program management.
- Fifteen (15)+ years experience managing a team or segment of an organization.
- Five (5) years of specialized experience in the following areas:
- Demonstrated experience supporting the Department of the Navy and/or other Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
- Developing cost estimates associated with Level of Effort (LOE), scope of work and associated requirements.
- Managing multiple Technical Instructions (TIs), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Task Orders (TOs).
- Leading teams of skilled professional, technical, and support personnel.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense (DoD) procurement policies.
- Excellent understanding of functional organizational operations, including scheduling, procurement, business development, and quality systems.
- Demonstrated experience with formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures is desired.
- Specific and relative experience as a capture manager, writing proposals, and preparing bids.
- Demonstrated experience in leading new business development, organic growth on existing projects.
- Proven track record in business development and growing existing contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- An accredited Program Management course with certification of completion or PgMP certification
- PMP certification or accredited project management course with certification
