Financial Management Platform Analyst

The Financial Management Platform Analyst manages the consolidated Credit Union’s Financial Management Platform (FMP) Financial Planning and Reporting system and serves as a backup Administrator to the remaining FMP systems, including the General Ledger, Reconciliation and Enterprise Management Platform modules; Expense Management and any other financial system vendors (collectively, FMP vendors).  The Financial Management Platform Analyst also coordinates integrated financial system processing, service, testing and maintenance, and maintains financial management hierarchy and rules administration across the consolidated Credit Union enterprise, including all subsidiaries, affiliates or credit union service organizations.

• Administer the use of the Financial Management Platform (FMP) Financial Planning and Reporting system used by the Credit Union and its subsidiaries, including maintaining system integrations with other credit union systems, service interface with FMP vendors, and user rights assignment. Provide support outside of normal business hours when needed. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed.  Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to minimize potential impact and mitigate risk.  (30%)
• Develop, manage and coordinate ETL processes to and from the financial planning system using SQL programming skills. Create and modify complex queries and reports using SQL tools, SQL programming skills and reporting tools within the Financial Planning and Reporting system.  (20%)
• Maintain documentation of technical specifications, graphical system component representations, applications and interfaces, user guides and audit trail of hierarchy, parameter or business rule changes made to Axiom. Add or update new features from FMP vendors or make changes to existing hierarchies or financial reporting system rules as instructed by Credit Union or subsidiary management. This includes maintaining the chart of accounts, department, and alternate hierarchies, along with translation tables in the FMP and core system(s). (20%)
• Create efficiencies in financial planning and reporting system processing and processes by working with management across the Credit Union and its subsidiaries, as well as with Finance and Accounting Partners, and FMP vendor staff. Participate in maintaining interconnectivity between Axiom and other credit union or CUSO systems, including but not limited to Prologue and the enterprise data warehouse. (15%)
• Serve as an Accounting and Finance liaison on project teams, particularly as it relates to integrations, additions or changes to FMP platform systems. (15%)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent is required. Specialization in business analytics or information technology is preferred.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in accounting, finance or business analysis roles is required, with a preference for strong database and systems analysis background. Experience with Fiserv Prologue, Axiom or other financial planning and analysis system applications is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with data warehouse systems and databases, various types of reporting tools, software programs and data modeling or other related experience. Experience in SQL or similar data analysis, reporting and data visualization tools preferred.
• Advanced MS Office skills; expert Excel or similar analytical experience preferred.
• Strong project management, communication skills required, along with attention to detail and customer service skills.
