The Manger, Identity Operations is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Wright-Patt Credit Union’s Identity Operations platforms. This position will provide ongoing support of existing Identity based platforms (Active Directory, Entra ID, IDM/IDG, Single-Sign On, Multifactor and Vault/PAM). This role manages the Identity and Access Management Engineers by providing day-to-day guidance on tasks including those related to identity security related activities. Emphasis will be placed on integration of new systems into current IAM infrastructure and to provide strategic guidance for IAM related functions across the enterprise.
1) Identity Operations Support & Maintenance (45%)
a) Maintenance and support of current IAM infrastructure.
b) Ensure execution of requested IAM procedures on schedule and in desired timeframes.
c) Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated.
d) Integration of new applications into current IAM infrastructure.
e) Implement desired workflow and notification changes.
f) Provide guidance to business units for SSO & MFA integrations with ADFS and Entra ID.
g) Maintain proper documentation of current IAM procedures.
2) Leadership & Personnel Management (40%)
a) Assign, prioritize, track, and review progress on tasks for assigned staff.
b) Perform Resource planning and estimating.
c) Supervise, coach, and regularly review the performance of staff.
d) Execute coaching improvement plans and make recommendations for promotions.
e) Take part in Disaster Recovery and/or Business Continuity triage efforts as assigned or
required by the BCP Command Team during a formally declared event.
3) Planning and Budgeting (10%)
a) Provide the Project Management Office with work effort estimates on projects.
b) Ensure proper time tracking by staff and approve time entry.
c) Create vendor SOWs as needed and handle associated invoice approvals.
d) Provide input into the IT budgeting and planning processes throughout the year. Contribute to the overall technology strategy and rolling IT 3‐Year Operating Plan.
4) Internal Audit and Regulatory Exam Support (5%)
a) Provide input to annual regulatory exams and third-party IT audits conducted by Internal Audit.
b) Provide input to various Risk Assessments conducted by Enterprise Risk Management.
Required Skills
1) Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or related field. A combination of military service and/or job experience in related field with certifications will be considered.
2) Seven (7) or more years of experience in the information technology field with at least 3 years of experience in support of information security and/or network security technologies.
3) Two (2) or more years of prior supervisory/leadership experience at the Manager or Technical
Lead level; must have managed work efforts in a complex, enterprise environment.
4) Demonstrated experience in architecting and implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
5) Understanding/hands-on experience of user authentication and authorization, and application integrations.
6) Ability to communicate with project teams and business units to assess security requirements and assist in integrations.
7) Experience supporting IT or Information Security in a financial institution is desired.
