The Lead Cloud Engineering Architect is responsible for ensuring the design and delivery of cloud computing services. This includes preparing cloud infrastructure for organizational applications, implementing a cloud computing strategy, and ensuring the security of cloud systems.
Required Skills
Cloud Performance Tuning, LAN/WAN Knowledge, Cloud Network Design, and Implementation, Problem Solving, Strategic Planning, Multi-tasking, Quality Focus, Coordination, Technical Understanding, Quick Study, Technical Zeal. The following are also required:
1) Bachelor’s Degree is required. Candidates who present an equivalent combination of formal training and experience in required areas may also be considered.
2) At least 5 years’ experience in cloud computing technologies, such as IaaS, PaaS, and containers (Docker or Kubernetes), and best practices.
3) Must possess a Cloud certification or better.
4) Working knowledge of the major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
5) At least 5 years of experience with VMWare ESX 6 or better
6) Working knowledge of Windows and widely used Linux distros including Ubuntu, and SUSE.
7) Experience in the management and design of a mid-sized Cloud Services Solution or greater.
8) Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, OSPF, BGP, and stateful firewalling.
9) Strong project management skills in technical environments.
10) Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
11) Ability to pass background check for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) or Department of Defense (DoD) to acquire “Contractor” badge is required.
