Security Specialist

The primary role of the Security Specialist is to provide for the safety and security of all partners, members, and property within Wright‐Patt Credit Union; as well as perform any additional duties assigned by the Senior Security Specialist and/or the Security & Emergency Response Manager.

 Assist the Senior Security Specialist with the following duties at his/her discretion:

1)      Roaming patrol or assigned static post of WPCU buildings and off-site ATM’s as directed. (30%)

2)      Assist with de-escalation of irate and/or abusive Members/Partners as needed. (20%)

3)      Assist with law enforcement investigations and act as a liaison between law enforcement agencies and the Senior Security Specialist. (15%)

4)      Meet and work with law enforcement on police report filings. (15%)

5)      Answering the WPCU Emergency Notification Phone (24/7/365). (10%)

6)      Meet with Member Center Managers/Assistant Managers to ensure Partner safety and satisfaction standards are being met. (5%)

7)      Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed.  Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated. (5%)  

1)      An Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice or other related discipline preferred.

2)      3+ years of experience in Law Enforcement, Corporate Security, or other related field.

3)      3+ years of investigative experience, including interviewing techniques.

4)      2+ years experience in conducting physical security risk assessments.

5)      3+ years of experience in dealing with CCTV, Burglar and Fire Alarm Systems preferred.

6)      Prior experience in crisis management and/or emergency response.

7)      Be available for support during a crisis/incident (including after‐hours/weekends).
