Journey Electrician will install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.



* Responds to and handle work assignment in a timely manner.

* Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.

* Connects power supply wires to machine and equipment.

* Connects cables and wires between machine and equipment.

* Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lightning fixtures. Replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.

* Tests malfunctioning machinery with other maintenance workers, such as maintenance machine repairers and maintenance tool makers in order to diagnose the cause of the malfunction.

* Replaces faulty electrical components of machines, such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.

* Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.

* Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.

* Pushes buttons and presses keys on robot controller, teach pendant, and programmable controller to program automated machinery (such as robots) to operate automated machinery, to test for malfunctions, and to verify repairs.

* Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.

* Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

* Maintains knowledge of new products and tools, codes and regulations, and industry trends and techniques.

* Maintains knowledge of and effectively promotes company services and players’ club program.

* Attends all scheduled team member meetings and trainings.

* Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.

* Adheres to all hygiene and safety standards. Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained.

* Performs other duties as assigned.



* Interacts with internal and external guests with a positive attitude and professionalism at all times.



* Does not provide supervision to others.

Required Skills


* Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

* Good organization skills and detail oriented.

* Thorough knowledge of electrical code requirements, such as NEC and Title 24.

* Knowledge of electrical schematics and the ability to interpret manufacturers' equipment instruction manuals.

* Knowledge of building codes, rules, and regulations.

* Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of materials, tools, and equipment used to perform job duties.

* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

* Ability to work cooperatively with diverse culture, work groups, and across the organization.

* Ability to adapt well to changes in assignments and priorities.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Required Experience


* Completion of an apprenticeship program by an accredited educational facility.

* Must possess a Journey Electrician’s License.

* Valid California Driver’s License preferred.



* Must be 21 years or older.

* 4 or more years of related experience.
