Full Time Medical Assistant with referral/authorization experience needed to manage inbound and outbound referrals for busy pain management practice in South OKC

• The Referral Clerk/Medical Assistant will receive and triage referrals from physicians and their offices.
• Accurately gather all required intake documentation
• Perform insurance verification, process referrals and re-certification functions on scheduled procedures.
• Serve as the point of contact for patients and referring providers during the intake process.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation for each referral in accordance with internal compliance standards

Requirements:

•  Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, especially the intake and referral process.
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Referral/authorization experience required.
•  Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required (GED)
