Project Manager II
Project Management
TracFone is seeking a Project Manager II to be responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) for the Product Development Group (PDG) that may span across one or more departments as well as third party vendors. The project manager will with the Production Control organization to release projects into production. This person has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case. The project manager may also need to manage development efforts with 3rd parties such as App vendors, SIM manufacturers and carriers. They will negotiate schedules and priorities for team members as needed.
Responsibilities:
Planning
- Define and clarify project scope by working with the business owner, stakeholders and any 3rd party vendors that may be part of the project
- Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
- Gather and document functional and technical requirements using standard project management/business analysis methodologies such as team meetings, documents review, workflow analysis, etc.
- Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
- Identify project risks in collaboration with IT development and all the business areas
Organizing
- Setup the project team by identifying roles and positions
- Identify services provided by external companies and establish project working relationships with them (as needed)
- Ensure that product initiatives are developed, tested and released into production in a timely manner in accordance to business needs
- Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
- Develop and deliver key project documents
- Maintain documents associated with project(s) in an organized manner, making them available to the project team members

Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Industrial Engineering background preferred
- 5 plus years of project management experience in working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
- Experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall, and Hybrid Approach
- Experience in successfully leading projects and programs on-time and on-schedule
- Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
- Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management
- Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executives sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
