AXIS ENGINEERING- CNC MACHINIST 3RD SHIFT


RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Uphold the company’s mission, vision, values, and goals in all daily tasks.
  • Operate machine shop equipment with a high level of proficiency.
  • Set up, run, and troubleshoot CNC machines effectively.
  • Perform 2D programming directly at the machine controls.
  • Utilize measurement tools and inspection equipment, including gauges, calipers, and micrometers, for accurate inspections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and maintain cleanliness of machines and workstations.
  • Compare measured parts to blueprint specifications and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Make sound decisions regarding machine repair and maintenance needs.
  • Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve common goals.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Plan and prioritize work efficiently to ensure timely, safe, and effective job completion.
  • Exhibit self-motivation and a continuous improvement mindset in all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Maintain a strong attendance and safety record.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Firsthand experience operating CNC machinery.
  • Experience in CNC/CAM programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

This is a 3rd shift position and shift times may vary depending on production needs.
