 To help us drive excellence, you will get to:

·         Learn to set up and operate fabricating machines.

·         Learn to MIG, TIG and spot weld.

·         Learn to use measurement tools and equipment for inspections, such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers.

·         Learn designs and constructs templates and fixtures.

·         Learn to read blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications per GD&T.

·         Learn to set up and operate machine tools associated with fabricating shops such as radial drill press, end mill, and edge planer.

·         Learn to develop prototype solution for stamping with Kirksite tooling.

·         Learn to develop prototype solution for assembly tooling.

·         Learn to run prototype parts, as necessary.

·         Learn to perform all duties and operate machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).

·         Learn about the maintenance of good safety and housekeeping practices.

·         Promote teamwork and show a willingness to work with other departments.

·         Take the initiative to find solutions quickly to problems that arise.

·         Demonstrate good work planning practices in order to do jobs in a very timely, efficient, and safe manner.

This full-time role is a part our Prototype Team and reports to Prototype Supervisor

Required education & experience:

·        High school diplomas or general education degree (GED)

•     One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience

Required Skills & Abilities

·         Successfully complete Hilo and Crane training program within 30 days

·         Must be able to attend a four (4) year technical trades program through Axis Engineering, LLC.

·         Must pass aptitude test(s)

·         A Drug screen is required to enter the training program.

·         Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment/machinery

·         Ability to multitask.

·         High level of cooperation

·         High level of commitment

·         Natural analytical person
