To help us drive excellence, as Wire EDM Operator, you’ll get to:
· Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.
· Perform manual bench-type tasks such as sawing, filing, grinding, Milling, Drilling, painting, etc.
· Monitor machine operations for malfunctions or problems and notifies supervisor or maintenance immediately upon discovery.
· Remove burrs and excess metal from machined parts.
· Run production and/or service parts as necessary.
· Inspect parts, components, visually for quality defects such as scrap marks, rust, burrs, etc.
· Inspects and ensures parts, components, and assemblies meet specifications.
· Work with Wire EDM Machinist on reading blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications.
· Use CAD/CAM software (Bob Wire) to program details through EDM.
· Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Wire EDM equipment.
· Promote teamwork and show a willingness to work with other departments.
· Take initiative to find solutions quickly to problems that arise
This full-time role is a part of our Machine Shop Team and will be reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Required education & experience:
· High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Ability to work with the following tools or machinery:
o Micrometers
o Calipers
o Scales
· Basic Machine Shop Experience
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Additional Skills& Abilities:
· Good working skills with Microsoft Office software
