To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:
- Change fixtures, tooling and programs for machine tools to meet customer specifications.
- Maintain constant check on operation(s) of equipment and perform minor maintenance work. Responsible for the care of material and equipment.
- Responsible for quality of setup.
- Evaluate broken tooling issues and correct where necessary.
- Participate in on-going continuous improvement activities to reduce setup times, elimination of waste and increased through-put.
- Maintain cleanliness of the immediate work area and obey all safety rules/practices.
- May be assigned related duties other than those herein specified.
- Ability to help train people in the operation and setup of all CNC machine tools and secondary equipment.
- Must have the ability to do light maintenance on machine tools.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information both one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
· Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.
This full-time, hourly role is a part of our quality team and reports to the Toolroom Manager.
Education:
High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
