  •   Assists in analyzing evaluating and preparing cost analysis information in determining the price of products, materials, or services

·       Applies the process to provide cost evaluation and cost and benefit analysis for submitted quote requests. Verifies accuracy and finalizes quotes

·       Assists in analyzing math data, blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and materials and labor estimates

·      Consult with various company departments, vendors or suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates

·      Special assignments or tasks as directed by department leadership as necessary to facilitate company operations

·      Participate in customer and supplier cost saving forums to optimize costs

·      Responsible for adhering to all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities

·      Ability to analyze, organize, and understand large amounts of data.

·      Ability to comprehend manufacturing processes, including ability to analyze differences in manufacturing assumptions.

·      Solve unique and sometimes complex problems using data-driven analysis to identify solutions, establish next steps, and manage open items.

·      Skilled at organization and maintaining job tracking daily/weekly/monthly.

·      Interfaces with cross-functional teams in the organization to obtain information, and to present estimates and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.

·      Provides improvement recommendations to Cost Estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.

·      Familiarity with company policies regarding budgeting, procurement, and project management is key to ensuring compliance and efficiency.

·      Demonstrating proficiency with relevant software and tools, such as Excel or specialized estimating software.

This full-time salary-exempt role is a part of our corporate engineering team and reports to the Cost Estimating Manager.

Required experience:

·       Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or ten (10) years plus related experience and/or training equivalent combination of education and experience

·       Minimum of three (3) years of experience.

·       Knowledge/understanding of cost analysis, data and other software understanding.

·       Knowledge of various manufacturing/automotive processes and components, whith the ability to evaluate and analyze associated costs

·       Experience in CAD systems software for viewing CAD models

·       Proficiency in excel

·       Experience with spreadsheets, estimating cost models, and cost management tools 

·       Ability to manage multople projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and complexity 

·       Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members and cross-functional peers
